Budo Jissen Karate - Neath

Budo Jissen Karate, translated into English, means “Martial Way of Applied Karate”. We are an entirely ‘not-for-profit’ organisation run exclusively by volunteer (but highly professional) instructors. The purpose of the BJK is to promote and teach Shotokan Karate-do in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. We aim to enhance physical fitness, self-discipline, and mutual respect among our members through the practice and study of Shotokan Karate-do. We will remain respectful to the history and culture of the martial art while maintaining a modern, practical, and professional outlook for our development, purpose, and practice. While the BJK is not a sport or competition focused karate organisation, we will support our members in their endeavours should they wish to pursue this route and ensure opportunities are available
