Llwybr Gorlech (Gorlech Walk)

About

This is a wonderful route in Brechfa Forest, following the River Gorlech and exploring the beautiful woodland. From the Abergorlech car park and picnic site, you’ll follow the path alongside the River Gorlech into the forest. Cross the bridge to continue on the other side, eventually crossing the river once more as you begin the journey back.

Brechfa Forest covers 6500 hectares of woodland. This area was once an ancient forest called Glyn Cothi Forest, which became a Royal Forest in 1283 and was heavily used as timber in the Forest World War.

Enjoy the beautiful woodland scenery and come prepared with the appropriate footwear, as the paths can get muddy and slippery after rainfall.
