Dynefwr Park Circular
About
This is a beautiful route exploring Dynefwr Park just outside of Llandeilo, which was designed in the 18th century and is home to two forts. The 25-hectare park is a National Nature Reserve and covers wildflower meadows and ancient semi-natural woodland. It’s an amazing place to spot birdlife and in spring, the woodland is covered in wildflowers.
This trail starts near Newton House and the remnants of the Roman Fort Complex and leads you through Castle Wood to visit the ruins of Dynefwr Castle, which is a Grade I listed building. Continue across the parkland to Llandyfeisant Church and pass the village of Llandeilo before making your way back to the start.
