Culver Hole Circular
About
Culver Hole stems from the Middle Ages and is known by locals as Smuggler's Cove. From our trail, you need to veer off onto a path leading down to the cove. It's a bit of a steep incline down to the base with loose rocky path, but not too challenging with the correct footwear.
Salt House Mere is just next to the Salt House in Port Eynon. It is a pebbly cove which is in part sandy. This is a perfect place for bird watching, walking, observing marine life, caves all with breathtaking scenery. When the tide is out, it is possible to walk onto Port Eynon Point, which has been compared to a lunar landscape. Beware that it is not advisable to bathe off Port Eynon Point. The cove is pretty and quiet.
