Kenfig Sands and Nature Reserve Circular

About

Kenfig Nature Reserve is a large sand dune system on the South coast of Wales near Porthcawl, Bridgend. Starting at the car park, this trail heads around Kenfig Pool, with a short detour over some large dunes for taking photos (0-3 km). A short stop at the northern edge of the Pool, and then over to the ruins of Kenfig Castle (3-5 km). Then a long amble westwards over the undulating dunes to reach the beach of Kenfig Sands (5-8 km). Walking along the beach for a while (8-11km), before heading back to the car park over the sand banks (11-12 km).
