Cymmer, Abercregan And Glyncorrwg Circular

About

Offering beautiful views, woodland trails and riverside walks, this route has a little something for everyone. The route starts by taking you from Cymer to Abercregan loosely following alongside the River Afan.

At Abercregan the path climbs up onto the ridge overlooking the Afan Valley and takes you northeast along the high ground before descending into Glyncorrwg. Here, the route turns southwest again, alongside the Afon Corrwg, circling the Glyncorrwg Ponds, then on back to the trailhead.

The Glyncorrwg Ponds have a visitor centre with information on the local area and a cafe, making it a great place to break up your walk with some light refreshments. There's also a campsite adjacent, ideal for if you would like to stay and explore the area further.

If you need somewhere to rest after your walk, you'll find a pub next to the trailhead.

Some of the paths can get rather muddy at times, so waterproof footwear is generally advisable.
