Northern Way of St David: Day 1 Fishguard to Pwll Deri
About
This is a beautiful trail taking in great views, scenic paths, and interesting historical sites as you make your way along the amazing and famous coastal path from Fishguard to St Davids. A pilgrimage to St Davids, along with Santiago in Spain, was offered by the Pope in 1123 as an alternative during the Crusades, and the small city saw many pilgrims make the journey.
This section takes you from Fishguard to Pwll Deri, passing Llanwnda, Carregwestad Point, Porthsychan Bay, and Strumble Head where you can enjoy great views over the coves and headlands. Care is needed on the rougher sections, especially in wetter and windy conditions along the narrow cliff paths. Appropriate footwear is required.
