Stackpole Quay and Bosherston Lakes

About

Starting from Stackpole Quay in Pembrokeshire, enjoy beautiful seaside views, clifftop paths, wide beaches, woodlands, and lily ponds as you make your way round the coast and across the farmlands.

From the car park (fee required), the trail heads along the scenic and rugged cliffs, passing Barafundle Bay (be aware of tide times), Stackpole Head, Mowingword, Raming Hole, Saddle Point, and Broad Haven South where the trail heads inland.

The trail continues around Bosherton Lily Pools and through the woodlands beside the water, before crossing Eight Arch Bridge, heading over the farmlands, and returning to the start.

There are steep and narrow paths along this trail, some of which are prone to flooding in wetter conditions so care is needed. This trail is best attempted in calm, clear, and dry conditions as the paths are exposed to the elements.

Particular care is also needed on the exposed cliff paths, especially if out with children as well as dogs who should be kept on lead here. There are also a number of kissing gates, regular gates, bridges, and flights of

steps. Appropriate footwear is required.

Please note, there are sections where grazing livestock may be along the paths so caution is required with dogs and leads will be needed for long stretches. Please adhere to any notices and be mindful of private property.
