Castle Walk Circular

About

Enjoy this beautiful and historic trail taking you from the train station, along the Mill Pond, round the outside of the castle, and back through the town streets. Dating to the medieval period, Pembroke Castle was first built in 1093 by Arnulf of Montgomery, before passing to William Marshal in the same century which saw the castle built in the stone that largely remains today. There are lovely views over the water as well as imposing angles of the castle so take your time to explore this trail. The path is mostly flat and gentle so family friendly.
