Northern Way of St David: Day 3 Porthgain to St Davids
About
This is a beautiful trail taking in great views, scenic paths, and interesting historical sites as you make your way along the amazing and famous coastal path from Fishguard to St Davids. A pilgrimage to St Davids, along with Santiago in Spain, was offered by the Pope in 1123 as an alternative during the Crusades, and the small city saw many pilgrims make the journey.
This is the final section taking you from Porthgain to St Davids with amazing views and historic sites along the way. This includes Abereiddy Promontory Fort, Coetan Arthur Dolmen, and the Chambered Tomb on Carn Llidi. Take care on the rougher sections, especially in wetter and windy conditions along the cliffs. Appropriate footwear is required.
