Mynachlong-ddu - Presli Hills

Here is a route with a healthy supply of pretty views and historical significance. You will begin from Mynachlog-ddu and head west then make your way north up the first hill. You will pass the memorial for the Liberator EV881 which was a RAF flight that crashed here in 1944. In these hills, you will be walking around prehistoric remains of Neolithic settlements. The significant points of interest include burial chambers, stone circles and hill forts.

There are good paths and the land is open, but keeping the map close at hand will be helpful for navigation. You can also explore the rocky outcroppings but this will require careful attention and skill. Bring good boots or waterproof walking shoes during winter as it will become very muddy.
