Put your mind at rest and ready for the day and enjoy this 14.5km trail at Swansea Bay. This route is ideal for walking, running, cycling and perfect for children, dogs and all the family. There's plenty of space, soft golden sand, easily accessible via steps or ramps. There are few restaurants nearby, café and toilets for you to enjoy and relax. Start slowly heading to The Mumbles which marks the beginning of the Gower Peninsula’s coastline. It’s a well-loved area of Swansea, and when you go there, it’s clear to see why! Surround yourself in the history and tradition that this area is steeped with. There’s a Lighthouse built in 1794, and a Victorian Pier. Oystermouth Castle is also well worth a visit, sitting on a hilltop with fabulous views overlooking the sea. Feeling hungry? No visit to Mumbles would be complete without sampling some of the areas local, “fresh off the boat”, seafood or some of the best home grown food around. Mumbles Hill was declared a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in 1991 to protect the site for both wildlife and people. Habitats present on the hill include maritime heath, limestone grassland, limestone scrub and woodland, each supporting different plants and animals. Over 200 species of plants and fungi, 40 species of birds and hundreds of species of butterflies, bees and bugs have been recorded on the hill. Small mammals such as voles, foxes and shrews also can be seen. Resident birds include green woodpecker, skylark and jay whilst migratory birds include house martins, swallows and garden warblers.

This is a wonderful walk around the Lower Lilw Reservoir. The trail traces the water's edge all the way around, taking in gorgeous views over the tranquil water. It is suitable for all ages and has a picnic area halfway that makes for a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the water. Some parts of the trail can get a bit overgrown in certain seasons, so long trousers are advised.

This trail starts along the Lower Lliw Reservoir and heads along the water, following a stream to the Upper Lliw Reservoir and the Brynllefrith Plantation. It explores the woodland before making its way back to the trailhead. You'll encounter beautiful views along this trail as it steadily takes you uphill. Some parts of the trail can get boggy at times, so come prepared with the appropriate footwear.

NOTE: Visitors should be aware of vehicles as the roadway is in daily constant use by residents, Welsh Water contractors and deliveries. Lliw reservoir is an excellent walk where you have the option to walk around the lower or upper reservoir. The trails are surrounded by many species of trees and a variety of wildlife. Picnic areas and benches are all around the trail. Some lovely fishing is available for fresh trout and you can get refreshments at the cafe.
